Long-Loved

A study in love
that lasts.

An ongoing editorial project photographing couples who have been married for forty, fifty, sixty years. The wedding day, fifty years on. What love looks like once it has had time to settle into a face.

I started To Grow Old with You as a student in 2012. The first images were exhibited at the BYU Harold B. Lee Library. The project has since been featured in Country Living, HuffPost, Yahoo, and on the National Geographic Your Shot platform — not because it’s about photography, but because it’s about what photographs are for.

Long-Loved couples often find me through this work. They’re younger than the people in the project, but they’ve looked ahead. They want the day photographed by someone who already thinks about love at fifty years out — because that’s when the images will still be there to do their job.

This is the project that taught me everything else.

For the couple

If you’re thinking about your wedding fifty years from now,
we should talk.
